The Unheard Ones

The Unheard Ones were a mid-90s emo trio whose brief but bright existence left a lasting mark on the fortunate few who witnessed them live. Baltimore City Paper posthumously described their self-titled EP as a “ménage à trois of feeling, force, and fragility.” However, their studio and demo recordings have largely remained… well, unheard for the past 30 years. 

That’s about to change, thanks to Colin Seven from Universal Order of Armageddon who tirelessly championed a reissue, and acted as matchmaker between DIY label Handstand Records and the surviving band members. Vocalist/guitarist Tim Kabara and bassist Lisa Starace have unearthed a well of stories and songs to assemble a reissue tribute to the late drummer Eli Jones, coming September 18, 2026 on Handstand Records. 

Limited to 500 copies on opaque red vinyl and housed in a four-color printed chipboard jacket that echoes the era. A 32-page zine-style booklet accompanies the record, packed with archival ephemera, flyers, photos, and writing contributions. Digital download includes three bonus live tracks, a practice recording, a Joy Division cover, and a PDF of the booklet.
