Both I Spoke and Beaumont Hamel could be classified as screamo, but are on different sides of this huge and vague spectrum that we all love to argue over. It’s one of the few splits where the bands compliment each other without sounding like it’s the same people playing on both sides. Beaumont Hamel rocks out with two songs, both loud, upbeat and scream-along-able, while I Spoke is prettier and slower, with gradually building layers of melody and that epic raise-your-fist-to-the-gods feel. This record is hand-numbered and limited to 525 with two-color screened cardboard covers.
