Mutant Scum is a four piece band from Brooklyn, NY who formed in 2015, from the looks of things. Mutant Scum play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, metal, sludge, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, Mutant Scum can be loosely compared to bands such as Unsane, Bardus, Breather Resist, The Minor Times, Ed Gein, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2015, Mutant Scum have released a six song EP titled Field Recordings in September of 2015. This is the band’s debut full-length LP, which was released via Handstand records on November 27th, 2018. On their self-titled LP, Mutant Scum offer up ten tracks of killer hardcore, punk, metal, sludge, and noise rock. Overall, Mutant Scum’s debut LP makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
