Groupie are a Brooklyn 4-piece who play a captivating style of surfy post-punk somewhere within the venn diagram of The Breeders, Bikini Kill, and The Raincoats. Today they released a stellar new single “Thick As Glue” from their debut album. It’s a grungy, garage rock song that analyzes the punk idols who were so formative for guitarist/vocalist Johanna Healy as a teenage fangirl. You can read a sweet writeup over on Post Trash, who described the track as “the fuzziest and most swooning of their silky pop-gaze sound.” GET HYPED!
Groupie “Ephemeral” LP comes out January 22, but you can pre-order it now!
